Via Core77 by way of Kanye’s blog (again!), Kurrency lamps are chandeliers made of actual legal tender.
What I want to know if it actually projects “greed” on the table. This doesn’t strike me as necessarily a critical project. I can see it being adored by some of people I know who are self-consciously, ironically, but still actually culture industry barons. Yet it is a nice reminder that money is not only symbolic but also material, with the appropriations that go along with that.
Hmmm, that looks pretty cheap. I’d prefer it in $100’s.
